Hollywood Undead’s tour made a stop in Charlotte, NC at the Fillmore Charlotte. Sight of Sound Magazine covered the show, in which All Hail the Yeti, 3Morning Pill, and Escape the Fate all joined forces to begin the evening. The night was filled with different metal/rock/hip hop variations to appeal to the audience. The majority of the audience seemed to come early to catch the performances from all the bands, which is great for the early openers. I missed All Hail the Yeti, however 3Morning Pill, the more tame of the 4 bands did a great job keeping the audience alive.
Prior to Hollywood Undead, Escape the Fate took stage, rocking with screaming metal and rallying up a mosh pit, which ended with the wall of death.
There is a reason Hollywood Undead has become a little bigger and popular over the years. The performance and stage presence is amazing from this band. They began the show with Undead and played 18 songs in the set. They invited a (very) young concert goer on stage to intro the next song to the audience, “Come in Hot”. The little kid stayed up on the stage the whole song throwing down his fist to the beats. Well done Hollywood. Lighting for the show was awesome, a photographers dream. As soon as the 3 song limit for the photographers was up, then the masks came off. This tour runs through the end of July, playing a few shows in the mid-West, finishing up in California. If you haven’t seen this band perform live, don’t pass up the opportunity next time they come around.
