The last time The Dillinger Escape Plan took the stage at the Union Transfer the show ended with everybody up on stage……which is exactly how this show started on Friday night when singer Greg Puciato invited everyone to get on stage to get the party started with “Prancer” off of their latest album entitled “One of Us is the Killer” ( See video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QKrGgDN-n8M ).
DEP played a solid mix of songs during their 15 song set and it did not disappoint. The set included the likes of – Milk Lizard – 43% Burnt – Farewell, Mona Lisa – The Mullet Burden – Sunshine The Werewolf … just to name a few. If you blinked, you most likely missed something from singer Puciato, guitarists Ben Weinman and James Love, bassist Liam Wilson, and drummer Billy Rymer as from that moment on it was Mach 1 for the band as the rest of the evening consisted of a pulsating light show followed by guitar whipping, speaker climbing, stage diving…….the list goes on.
DEP put on quite the show for Philadelphia last Friday and if you haven’t had a chance to see this band live yet or even if you seen them a million times I highly recommend you see them on this tour. At the end of the set Puciato told the crowd at the Union Transfer that “this is my favorite show ever”. You know what ? …. I agree.
