Yesterday Sight of Sound had the chance to get on the phone and talk to Lights in anticipation of her upcoming tour that will see her coming through Philadelphia on November 2nd at the Theater of Living Arts. During our time on the phone with her we talked about her recent release, “Little Machines,” and how the recording process was different for a number of reasons. During this time it came up just how influential her acoustic re-release of Siberia and following tour were in the artistic process of this album as well as her transition into motherhood. We also talked in length about her recent involvement in the Pink-Tober movement to raise awareness for Breast Cancer and the show she recently did in New York as a part of it. During the interview Lights mentioned that more information about the involvement can be found on the Hard Rock website as well as a t-shirt for purchase, a pin, and more. We want to provide that link for this cause and encourage everyone to check that out : http://www.hardrock.com/philanthropy/pinktober/pinktober-2014.aspx .

The full audio recording of our phone conversation with Lights can be listened to below via the Youtube Embed. We encourage you to check to check out her new album “Little Machines” and come out to a date on this upcoming tour. Sight of Sound will see you all the Philadelphia show and we look forward to seeing Lights new stage show and performance, which she claims is going to be a lot more involved than anything we have seen from her before.
