In Memoriam : Jeremy Brown – Guitarist of Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts

Sight of Sound is devastated to report that Jeremy Brown, guitarist for Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts, has passed away of causes that are still unknown at this time. Blabbermouth broke the news earlier today and our sources have confirmed the same reports that they posted, it appears that Jeremy Brown didn’t show up for a pre-scheduled rehearsal for last night’s album release show and about an hour later the band would get the call that he passed away. The news comes as a shock to everyone who had been following Scott Weiland’s new musical career as well all those who have come out to shows recently, even having the chance to meet and spend some time with Brown some evenings.

Scott Weiland had the following to say on his personal Facebook account :
“I am in shock right now, everyone that knows him is devastated. It is a terrible loss that goes beyond words. He is one of my best friends, a truest friend and one of the most gifted guitar players that I’ve ever known. A true genius. It’s impossible to explain how much he will be missed and what a hole this will leave in our hearts.”

There is no doubt that Jeremy Brown will be missed and he will always be remembered for his time as a musician, both touring and in the studio. Today Scott Weiland and the Wildabouts debut album ‘Blaster’ is available everywhere, when you listen to a copy of it be sure to take a moment of silence in honor of the late Jeremy Brown who dedicated the past few years of his life to tracking that album. Our thoughts go out to Brown’s Family, Scott Weiland and the rest of the Wildabouts.
