Halestorm remains Pennsylvania’s finest musical export and it is incredibly humbling that they haven’t forgotten their roots as the band constantly returns to the area as they did this past Saturday. While not a true homecoming as the concert was just across the river in Camden, New Jersey the Pennsylvania Halestorm fans managed to pack the venue in force as always. Offer direct support in a co-headline fashion with Halestorm again on this tour was In This Moment.
The band has been on the road for the majority of 2018, beginning a few months before the release of their most recent album, ‘Viscous’. As the tour has pressed on the band has both remained in top form performance wise with Lzzy Hale’s vocals shining nightly and the setlist has grown more diverse with each show as new songs have been changed out with older ones in support of the new album.
While the spotlight was both figuratively and literally shining on Lzzy Hale’s talented guitar riffs and vocal delivery her talented band-mates by her side provided masterclass drumbeats, grooving bass tracks, and more. Arejay Hale continued to live up to his reputation of being a human “energizer bunny” as he harnessed an insane amount of power in every song as he frequently twirled drumsticks well into the air on many songs with ease. Without missing a single beat Arejay Hale kept the entire night rolling from behind his drum kit in front of the enclosed BB&T Pavilion crowd. From start to finish Halestorm showed why they are able to tour as often as they do, every show is one of a kind and better than the last. There is no doubt that Pennsylvania will always support their favorite rock n’ roll band but 2018 has shown that the entire country is ready to support Halestorm as this generations truest rock band.
