Social Distortion Celebrate 40 Years with Special Guests Flogging Molly
Two Powerhouse bands of 'true punk' come together for the summer tour of a lifetime.
Labor Day weekend wouldn’t be complete without a true rock show and Lancaster was treated to a gem with Social Distortion and Flogging Molly on Sunday, September 1. The two bands summer trek across the United States as they have been bringing the punk back into the touring circuit. Flogging Molly has always held a reputation as being the most powerful Irish influenced rock band on the road – Social Distortion also are no stranger to live performances as they celebrated 40 years of existence on the tour this summer.
In true co-headline fashion the band shared nearly equally time on the massive stage set up in the Freedom Hall Convention Center and put on two impactful sets. Musically the bands are very different but at their core they share many of the same punk elements that allowed for a full house of mixed fans to come together for a Sunday night mosh pit.
